Ankron provides independent technology and approval advice on behalf of classes and authorities on all stages of Type Approval processes for ballast water management systems.
We prepare neutral expert reports, coordinate and monitor test procedures in accordance with current regulations and act as the interface between manufacturers, classes, authorities
and all additional parties involved.
Sub lab for testing BWMS
Our partner PIA GmbH has been approved by the US Coast Guard as an Independent Laboratory for testing ballast water management systems to meet the requirements of 46 CFR 162.060.
Ankron is one of five listed sub labs that will continue to work with PIA on the implementation of approval processes for USCG and IMO.
